Your Mailbox Appears to Be Unavailable Try to Access It Again in 10 Seconds

Cheque permissions on the mailbox; verify Self has total access.

Additionally, you tin can try creating and connecting a new mailbox to this user; if that works migrate any mail service from the electric current mailbox to the new 1.

Is this a sudden trouble? Accept they ever been able to ship/receive or use Put await, or is this a new user?

If a new user, can you lot confirm that the Advertising account has properly replicated to all DCs and that there are no replication errors in the logs?

Yes SELF has total access.

Aye this is a sudden problem.  The user that this happened to is a domain admin.  Aye the user has been able to send and receive with no bug.  The account has been active for 1 twelvemonth 1/2.  Everything was working perfectly until final Th when he tried to send an email as an attachment and it was not going through and nosotros discovered the issue.

I have verified that there are no errors in the replication logs.

Brand sure you have a secondary Domain Admin, then remove and reapply the problem accounts permissions.

AceOfSpades,

Are yous suggesting to use Mange Total Access Permissions and remove all accounts from there and then reapply?

If I understood correctly, only the Domain Admins email account is having problems.  If so, and then remove and reapply permissions via "Manage Full Access Permissions"

OK this is interesting.  The user having the issue is a Domain Admin and is having issues accessing his account via the Outlook client or OWA.  My account is having the aforementioned verbal issue trying to admission his business relationship.  I only created a exam user and gave information technology access to the trouble account and it was able to open up the business relationship with no effect via OWA.  It seems to be affecting but users that are domain admins.  I am not understanding why this is affecting this account.

By default, Domain Admins take an inherited "Deny: Total Mailbox Admission" permission fix, only an explicitly defined "Permit: Full Mailbox Access" permission tin override the inherited deny.

Was this post helpful? thumb_up thumb_down

Did you explicitly grant your account access to the other DA's mailbox get-go?

As well - a tangential note - if following best practices, Domain Admin accounts probably don't really need email addresses/mailboxes.  Y'all should have carve up Domain Admin accounts to perform authoritative functions (though this practice is unremarkably disregarded in smaller environments).  Your daily driver account should take a mailbox, and should not exist an admin.

Again, just an observation, and doesn't diminish the fact that you're experiencing a trouble where one hasn't before and maybe shouldn't exist.

EDIT: Completely off-topic addendum:  I like the profile pic, but I am at a loss for words regarding tonight's game and had to shut it off not long into the game.

Was this post helpful? thumb_up thumb_down

I did grant my account Full Mailbox Access to the other Domain Admin'south account.

Why do you think I am working tonight I had to practice something else to continue my listen off the game!

Yes I am aware of the best practice but this is out of my hand at the moment.  I will be trying to change this hopefully in 2014.

It is just weird that information technology worked and at present does not.

I ran the Become-MailboxPermission cmdlet and compare the permissions with the affected account to my account and the only difference is there is an actress Domain Admin account in the beginning line of the affected account that has deny access. (See Below) I have no thought how that got there and don't know how to become rid of it.  Any ideas?

Identity             User                 AccessRights                                                        IsInherited Deny
--------             ----                 ------------                                                ----------- ----
.................... DOMAIN\Domain Ad.... {FullAccess}                                                False       True
.................... NT Say-so\Cocky    {FullAccess, ReadPermission}            False       False

............. DOMAIN\Domain Ad... {FullAccess, DeleteItem, ReadPermission, ChangePermissio... Truthful        Fake

This might solve information technology (remove the -whatif to actually run it).

Powershell

Remove-MailboxPermission -Identity username -User "DOMAIN\Domain Admins" -AccessRights FullAccess -Deny -WhatIf

Sweet Semicolon that command worked perfectly.  I'm non certain how the Domain Admin Deny False got on his account but it is working now.  Thanks anybody.

Short question (we accept the aforementioned issue on the mailbox of my dominate), and at present we're not sure if you removed the fullaccessrights in the commutation management panel before y'all ran the script.

2d question: What if we cannot access the mailbox anymore after we ran the script? Is there a manner to get back to the land where information technology worked?

Genius!
I had exactly the same affair happen to me, and at present I have a set up - the Get-MailboxPermission showed that the domain admins and also the admin account were denied!

Very strange, but all fixed at present, thanks guys
